Andrew KolkerAndrew Kolker and Louis Alvarez, twice winners of both the Peabody Award and the duPont-Columbia Journalism Award, have over the past 25 years produced critically praised documentaries about a variety of subjects: accents (American Tongues), motherhood (MOMS), social class (People Like Us), sexuality (Sex: female) and Little League baseball (Small Ball: A Little League Story). With their patented mix of seriousness and humor, their films have chronicled the American electoral process (Vote For Me and Louisiana Boys) as well as western influence in Japan (The Japanese Version). They are currently working on a documentary about anti-Americanism in Europe and producing a series of short films about masterworks of American literature for the National Endowment for the Arts. They began their career in New Orleans and now live in New York City. Contact: Please communicate any messages for the filmmaker to Folkstreams administration by our Contact Form. Thank you. |
