Mick Newnham reinforces a splice with dental floss. This is a useful trick in cases where an old film with brittle splices is being re-washed. Mick's demonstration was part of a disaster recovery workshop sponsored by the Association of Moving Image Archivists in Rochester, NY 2007. Mick Newnham is a senior archivist at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.
