- [Joe] Hey Pete.

- Yeah, Joe.

- You remember T-Bone Walker, man?

- Yeah, I remember Bone.

- You know he was the grandfather of the blues.

- That's right.

- He started everything on the electronic guitar.

- That's right, on the electronic guitar.

- You remember some of his licks, man?

- Yeah, I sure do, Joe.

- Let me see do a little Daddy-Oh there for me.

- A little Daddy.

- That's almost a Daddy-Oh, that's a Diddy-Oh. I want a Daddy-Oh.

- I tell you what, Joe. You do one Daddy-Oh.

- Okay.

- All right.

- You remember that? He started it all, man. Look here, we're going to do a little tribute to T-Bone right here and he really started it all especially in Texas because he was a Texan. He came from Conroe, Texas, in case y'all didn't know. Mr. Aaron Walker. This is all about Mr. Walker. He was a great inspiration to me, Pete Mayes and a whole lot of the guys from around here. How about let's do a little T-Bone Shepherd?

- [Pete] Let's do that.

- T-Bone comes out in his white, white suit. You know, white shoes, big diamond ring. And he came out and he struck up this guitar. Oh, Mr. T-Bone. Couldn't even get through with the first music. Then he strum another tune, you know Then Percy start going. Play my song, Mr. T-Bone. Go and take all my money. You can have everything, take my money. Just play my song, Mr. T-Bone. Then, he was cool though. Then, after a while it got so hot then he put it behind his head. Then he'd start to really plucking. Then he'd turn around and swing with it. Then everything went. Shoes, rings, bracelets, everything. Honey, he played them blues all night long.

- But the main thing about it was that he was singing the blues and somewhere in them blues they had had that same problem.

- Yeah, he didn't have to turn around and call a song title. We knew from his intro, maybe from that very first big, fat, juicy cut that he hit, we knew what the song was going to be. And Stormy Monday was it.

- [Man] It was one of his favorites.

- As soon as he would hit that first chord, you could hear everybody, all the ladies screaming.

- Make us remember that song. I mean, give us a little riff on that.

- [Man] It was very slow.

- Oh gosh, I wish I could.

- I wish I could too, but it was only a blues. It was something like you call it Stormy Monday.

- And Tuesday's just as bad.

- Okay, yeah. That's it. But I mean, Mary, you're pretty good-

- I could hear it right now.

- I can hear it too.

- T-Bone was a real musician and what he was playing, he could reach the people. Now I played with him and I know what I'm talking about. And what I mean by reaching the people, he could feel them. He could make them understand what he would sing. And he would walk real slow and play his guitar and the way he played it, he would make everybody feel him and mostly, women. If you listen to me closely, whenever you take over the women, you've got it made.
