Jerry Williams Obituary (1955 -2018)
Mr. Jerry Eugene Williams, 63, of Melfa, walked graciously into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018.
Born Feb. 20, 1955, in Nassawadox, and reared in Southside Chesconnessex, he was a son of the late Burley “Bill” Williams and Mildred Virginia Williams. For decades, Mr. Williams owned and operated Southside Auto Sales in Melfa. Throughout his life he never met a stranger, and the only thing Mr. Williams loved more than helping and talking to others was the Lord. Mr. Williams was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church and proudly lived his life in service to his faith and his beloved family.
Mr. Williams is survived by his four loving siblings, Judy Wilson and husband, Pastor Richard Wilson, of Canon City, Colo., Phyllis Taylor and husband, J.C., of Seaford, Del., Dennis Kent “Denny” Williams and wife, Carrie, of Modest Town, and Charlotte Meek and husband, Rob, of Oak Hall; sister-in-law, Debbie Williams, of Melfa; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Donna Jane Williams, and brothers, Jimmy Lynn Williams and Burley Adrion Williams.
A memorial service will be held at the Faith Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Madron officiating. Private interment will be held in the Mount Holly Cemetery.
