Jean-Pierre Bruneau

Born in Normandy in 1943, Jean-Pierre Bruneau is a French filmmaker and journalist based in Paris. While vagabonding in the US in the early seventies he was especially attracted by the richness of the musical culture of Southwest Louisiana and shot the acclaimed documentary Dedans le Sud de la Louisiane in 1972. Twenty years later he continued to celebrate and explore that unique Creole culture with Louisiana Blues (co-directed by José Reynes).
