A former communications executive, Craig R. Evans is a film maker and author fascinated with Old-time Traditional Music, the banjo, and the community of performers, luthiers, historians and every-day players that celebrate it.
His documentary series have been saved for posterity by Smithsonian Folkways. His book, Old- time Conversations: Finding Health, Happiness and Community Through Traditional Music (McFarland & Company) will be released in early 2024.
