Andrew Kolker

Andrew Kolker and Louis Alvarez, twice winners of both the Peabody Award andthe duPont-Columbia Journalism Award, have over the past 25 years producedcritically praised documentaries about a variety of subjects: accents(American Tongues), motherhood (MOMS), social class (People Like Us),sexuality (Sex: female) and Little League baseball (Small Ball: A LittleLeague Story). With their patented mix of seriousness and humor, theirfilms have chronicled the American electoral process (Vote For Me andLouisiana Boys) as well as western influence in Japan (The JapaneseVersion). They are currently working on a documentary about anti-Americanismin Europe and producing a series of short films about masterworks ofAmerican literature for the National Endowment for the Arts. They begantheir career in New Orleans and now live in New York City.
