Anya Petrone Slepyan (born May 26,1999) was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 2022 with a degree in History and Latin American Studies. As a staff writer and multimedia producer for the Daily Yonder, Anya reports on a range of topics from rural prisons to popular culture.
