Raise the Dead (1998)

James Ruterbeck's film about H. Richard Hall, an iternerant Pentecostal preacher from Cleveland, Tennessee. His ministry flourished in the revival craze of the 1950's and he was still visiting small towns across the Appalachian region in the late 1990s, pitching tents, healing the sick and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Raise the Dead" is the best and most sensitive documentary on the Appalachian region and Pentecostalism that I have ever seen" -- Harvey Cox, Harvard Divinity School.
