Emulsion and base

Tony Treadway uses a 35mm slide to show the difference between the base side and emulsion side on film. The base is shiny and smooth. The emulsion is "raised" and looks like a brocade pattern.Tip: If you moisten you lips and run a strip of film through your lips, the emulsion side is sticky.
