Splicing 16mm magnetic full coat with splicing block and razor

How do you splice 16mm audio magnetic full coat?

Splicing audio full coat 16mm film is different from splicing picture. The splice is made on the diagonal to prevent a "pop" in the sound. Because of the diagonal cut, there is never a complete gap in the tape going over the sound head. In this demonstration a splicing block and razor are used. In all audio splices, the tape is placed on the base side ONLY so as not to cover up the emulsion side that carries the audio signal. The diagonal cutter on the Ciro Guillotine splicer would also make a proper splice in the 16mm audio track.
