The VAFP seeks and encourages partnerships with laboratories and individuals working in the film restoration industry for the purpose of educating archivists and restorers in the technology of film restoration. Bob Brodsky and Toni Treadway the founders of LittleFilm.org, have worked together for 30 years as filmmakers, technicians, writers and advocates for the “home movie.” Their site is targeted at the small format,amateur motion picture film that pre-dated video. The site provides helpful information on the care and handling of small gauge film.

Colorlab

The Colorlab Archives Division is a telecine facility servicing producers requiring film-to-tape transfers of the huge film archives holdings of the various government and private film archives in the Washington, DC area. It is also a full-service film preservation laboratory in all formats.
