Evan Hatch is an independent folklorist living in Chapel Hill, NC. He is the former Director of The NC Folklife Institute, and former Director of Folk Arts programming at the Arts Center of Cannon County, in Woodbury, TN. He is acting Director of Local Fest in Hillsborough, NC. He has worked as producer, writer, field worker, and curator during his career.
