Fiddlers‘ Grove: A Celebration of Old Time (1994)

About the Film

Every spring for more than 75 years musicians from all over the country have gathered in the foothills of North Carolina at Fiddler's Grove. They come to play traditional old-time music and to compete for the annual Fiddling championship. In 1994, the three-day event was documented for public television.

The one-hour program features more than 40 toe-tapping traditional songs. Meet the legendary Van Hoy family, hosts of the annual festival.
